Is anyone reading these blogs...

...or am I wasting my time?

I have been a bit tremiss just lately in updating these blogs, but I feel sometimes that nobody reads them, or needs them. Please just post an anonymous comment to reassure me that there are people who are interested in the news updates.

I suspect the lack of replies confirms what you think. Great Totham is suffering from a demise. The litter, the dog mess, pavement parking, property boundary areas that are not maintained and overgrown. The council this year has not controlled the weeds on the road side as they have done previously. I could go on,,,,,,,,,,.
It's all very sad but reflective of modern society.

Thanks for your comments. It's reassuring to know that someone is reading this.

Anon 5.18 am, you could always bring these comments to the next NAP meeting which is on Monday 14th September, in Gt Totham Village Hall. Or if you don't wish to present them in person, email me on linda@nw-gts.org.uk,

or the Neighbourhood Specialist Officer Pc Michele Jacobs michele.jacobs@essex.pnn.police.uk

or

PCSO Brett Fleming on brett.fleming@essex.pnn.police.uk

Anonymous is quite right and I support his comments.Having lived in Great totham for 36 years it is now time to leave. There is one outstanding feature, Great Totham Primary School. Looking back over 36 years it seems today we have a dithering Parish Council and a District Council that leaves much to be desired. I would add that I am a person of no polictical persuasion, just a floating voter. The early years in Great Totham were ideallic, but recent years it has changed, no doubt it is a sign of the times, how sad.

I am in total agreement with the posted comments, look at;

Anonymous 12.16, what practical measures have you taken to tidy up Catchpole Lane. Yes, you've made a blog about it, but have you considered pulling up some of those weeds? I have, but I can't do it all. Perhaps we should organise a working party of volunteers in conjunction with the Parish Council. I presume you have also informed the Parish Council about the verges and the footpath?

This is an aspect of village life where we could achieve something if we pulled together.

Anonymnous 2, have you considered standing for election if the councils are so apathetic? Though I suppose, if you are leaving you won't want to serve.

Linda
